Nisarat Meechok (Beer)

Nisarat Meechok is a film editor based in Thailand. She studied Communication Arts, majoring in Film, at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Silpakorn University.

She began her career editing student short films. Working closely with directors on these projects helped her understand the importance of storytelling and the filmmaking process. Through these experiences, she became interested in how editing can bring a certain kind of magic to a film and shape the way an audience experiences it.

In 2018, she joined White Light Studio, a post-production laboratory based in Bangkok, as an assistant editor, working alongside Lee Chatametikool and Harin Paesongthai. During this time, she worked on projects by several directors and producers, including Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Le Bao, Taiki Sakpisit, Soros Sukhum, Kongdej Jaturanrasamee, Wisit Sasanatieng, Sivaroj Kongsakul, Anucha Boonyawatana and Patiparn Boontarig. In 2020, she became an editor, working across feature films, television series, commercials and music videos.

From 2021 to 2023, she worked as an editor at Limbix Cut, continuing to work with different directors and creative teams.

She currently works as a freelance film editor. For her, editing is more than simply putting images together to tell a story. It is a process of discovering and shaping how a film tells its story, while finding ways to bring its emotions and feelings to the surface.

She is particularly drawn to the small details within a scene, whether it's a gesture, a glance, a moment of timing or a silence. Sometimes, these details can express more than words ever could. She enjoys experimenting and exploring different possibilities, allowing each film to gradually find its own way of telling a story.
